Photo Scavenger Hunt :: December #4 … Stocking

Hi there everyone πŸ˜ƒ

It’s Christmas Eve and time for the penultimate challenge from Astrid for 2021 … Stocking πŸ˜ƒ

It’s been a busy and sometimes stressful last couple of weeks for us, with lots going on … a fabulous holiday, which nearly didn’t happen … a holiday nearly due which may or may not happen … new boilers for us and mum … good friends being hit by Covid … elderly neighbours needing lots of support … along with the usual list of getting ready for the festive season jobs.

It’s gong to be a strange one for us this year … our first without dad, and I am visiting him today to take him some hellebores so he will have some flowers over Christmas …
Then it’s housework, last card delivering and cheesecake making for lunch with Lesley, Tom and Jess tomorrow … and hopefully a nice relaxing afternoon and evening.

We haven’t really done much by way of Christmas decorating this year and haven’t hung up our stockings but here are some pictures of stockings I have made over the last few years … I really hope they are all still going strong and are hung up again this year …

And last but not least … here are some of my hand made gift tags …
So all that is left for me to say is a very Merry Christmas to all my friends, family and readers. Thank you all so much for your support this year … for reading and for commenting and making it all worthwhile.

I may not be around much over the next week but will definitely be back in the New Year to finish off my Takes from Wales, share our trip to Clevedon with you, show you what we got up to in Northumberland and have a look to see if I can tick any more goals off my ‘50 things to do before I hit 60’ list.

Take care everyone 😊

  1. Well I love your stockings all the more so as I can see some of my red/white fabrics in them. The gift tags are wonderful. Well done you. Stay safe and hope life becomes a little less stressful for you.

    1. Thank you … I am hoping a week away will be just the tonic … although saying that it’s not long that we’ve been back from our last break 😁

Your stockings look amazing, I don't think I can pick a favourite, they're all wonderful!

  3. I love your stockings, so original. Not often I am tempted to try and sew something, but they tempt me....only tempt me, not sure I'll do anything about it. Look forward to reading about your Northumberland holiday.πŸŽ…πŸŒ²πŸ˜ƒ

    1. Thank you. We did have a lovely week but saw plenty of the after effects of storm Arwen. I have lots to share with you This year we seem to have been touch and go on the majority of our holidays as to whether or not they would actually take place. We dare not really plan anything till today for this one until Boris has given us the all clear ☺️

    2. I don't have an email address to contact you directly but wanted to let you know that Threads Through My Life and I are going to stop joining in Astrid's blog as from the end of the year. So this will be our last entry. It hasn't taken off as we hoped when she took it over from Kate. I will keep following your blog as I love all your photographs and stories. Best wishes for the New Year. Keep well. xx

    3. I must admit that I’ve been thinking of stopping too. It was really good for me during lockdown when we couldn’t go anywhere so had nothing else really to blog about but now things are a little more normal I am struggling to fit everything in. Also, as you say, there are only a few of us tending to be involved so it must be a bit frustrating for Astrid too as I’m sure it’s a fair effort to keep coming up with ideas. I’m glad you will keep following as I will you both too. Have a great New Year and see you for the last of this years photo challenges tomorrow πŸ˜ƒ

Thanks for taking time to comment on my blog. I love to hear what people think about what Martin and I have been up to.
