Exploring :: A Day on Anglesey

Hi there everyone 😀

For the last full day of David, Alison and Bobby’s visit with us we opted for one of our favourite days out … a trip over to Anglesey to Beaumaris. The weather forecast was good and Beaumaris never disappoints.

We started off carrying on through Beaumaris and on to Penmon Point for a look at the lighthouse. We still haven’t managed to catch it at low tide but we managed to catch a few decent photos …
We then headed back into Beaumaris and parked up by the castle. We’d got another Treasure Trail to complete which promised us a really good walk around Beaumaris exploring all the nooks and crannies.

Our adventures took us down to the front and on to the pier …
We then wended our way around in and out of the narrow streets of the town … mooching in and out of the lovely gift shops …
We eventually ended up back by the castle …
We had a bit of a break for lunch in the fish and chip shop before finishing off the Treasure Trail. It was then into the park whilst Martin and I enjoyed the view while David, Alison and Bobby had a go on the putting green …
As we headed off we decided we’d have a quick call in at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch … Bobby had been practicing saying it all weekend and it’s somewhere Alison had always wanted to go so it was a win win …
Bobby loved it … and to be fair so did Martin …
We were even blessed with a personal toot from a passing train …
We’d had a lovely day. Plenty of sunshine, plenty of exercise and a few bits ticked off the ‘bucket list’. It was time to head back to the lodge for an evening of chilling and game playing 😀

Thanks for taking time to comment on my blog. I love to hear what people think about what Martin and I have been up to.
