Following our few days in Bude with the family we were heading up to Ilfracombe … where we were staying for the week whilst attending my Goddaughter’s wedding.
We made the most of our journey with a couple of stop offs along the way. Firstly at the Gnome Reserve near Bideford.
I’ve never seen so many gnomes …
Our next stop was at Appledore … another place we’d never visited before. We parked up along the front by the most extensive display of yarn bombing I’ve ever seen …
We had a lovely wander along Irsha Street to the lifeboat station. It really is the loveliest street with pretty much every house being picture perfect …We stopped for a sit in the sunshine at the lifeboat station and got to see the lifeboat out at sea …
We had another sit in the sunshine outside of The Royal George on the way back …Appledore was just lovely. Definitely somewhere that we will visit again but for now it was time to carry on for Ilfracombe 😊**********************************************
