Hi there everyone 😀
We are so definitely into autumn now and this last 10 days has been filled with normal everyday autumn pursuits over here ... home made soups, crisp bright sunny days, harvesting the last from the garden, looking at cottages for next year's holidays and starting to get ready for Christmas craft fairs.
I've had another week flying solo, but Martin is now off for a week so it's a good chance to get a bit more organised and have a bit of downtime too ... and finally get to take in an afternoon tea that was a Christmas gift a couple of years ago, just before the voucher expires 😲
Here are our last 10 days ...

| Day 11 - A simple, but particularly tasty, home made parsnip soup. |

| Day 12 - I managed to gift two big bagfuls of quince through a local zero waste Facebook group ... these were destined for the green bin, so I was so pleased to see them go to good use. |

| Day 13 - After watching mum and dad enjoy toasted teacakes whilst we were on the Isle of Wight, we both had a bit of a craving for them today and they did not disappoint 😀 |
Day 14 - The last of the quince found a home with an old schoolfriend today, whilst chatting over a cup of Earl Grey, and were quickly turned into a lovely clear pink jelly for the store cupboard.

| Day 15 - I had a bit of a Christmas crafting day and just love how these Christmas cards have turned out. |

| Day 16 - I had a lovely catch up lunch with my good friend Jo today. Martin and I also booked a holiday in Devon for next year. This is the picture of the cottage on Google Earth! |

| Day 17 - After a couple of grey and gloomy days today was glorious and I just had to take advantage of being stopped by traffic lights to hang out of the window and catch this quick shot of the most gorgeous blue sky. |

| Day 18 - It was another glorious bright sunny autumn day and the colours out back are really stunning. |

| Day 19 - Saturday and we had the laziest of days. We spent the afternoon watching a film and getting two afternoon tea gifts booked in ... just before the expiry dates hit. |

| Day 20 - Another lovely morning ... perfect for getting a few bits and pieces done in the garden, including potting on all of these foxgloves that we'd planted a month or so ago. |

Hi there! I saw your posts on FF 14-18 about Will Sidney's War so I decided to check out your blog. Other than being separated by the Atlantic Ocean (I'm Canadian) we have a lot in common. Love of history (in September my husband and I spent 8 days in Belgium, with 4 nights in Ypres specifically to spend time touring the Salient), travel, gardening and crafting. I enjoyed checking out your blog and especially reading about the Will's story.
