Half Term Fun

Hi there everyone 😀

We managed to have another day with Bobby over the October half term and whilst we didn’t do much or go far we had another lovely day.

It was another morning of baking. This time we adapted our biscuit cutters and made gingerbread skeletons and skulls … in honour of the season …
We did decorate them but for some reason I didn’t take any more photos.

After we’d finished baking we headed out to a local donkey sanctuary which was literally just up the road. As my sister had her granddaughter Nancy for the day we met them there.

We’d had lots of rain and everywhere was very muddy but we made the best of it … starting with cuddles with some baby bunnies …
Nancy, who loves bunnies, wasn’t feeling too brave …
… but mum/nanny/great nanny was happy to have a hold …
After we’d snuggled the bunnies we had a look at the other animals. There were some very hungry goats …
… some very muddy and hungry pigs …
… chickens …
… and some alpacas.

As the donkey stables were so muddy the donkeys had been turned out into the field … but they weren’t shy in making an appearance when there were carrots on offer …
This time Nancy was much braver …
It’s only a small place to visit, though there is a cafe. As it was so cold we just stayed for about an hour and decided to head to the local garden centre for lunch and a look at the Christmas decorations.

Once back home there was just time to quickly decorate the gingerbread before it was time to take Bobby home.

Although we’d not gone far we’d had another lovely day and can’t wait till our next time on Bobby minding duties 😀😀😀
