50 Things to do before I'm 60 - 16-20

Hi there everyone

Well last week I let you know how I was getting on with the first 15 of the 50 things that I want to do before I'm 60.

This week I want to share the next 5 things that are on my list so here goes ...

16 - Visit The Kelpies

A while ago I saw some photos of The Kelpies on a friend's Facebook page and I was enthralled. Straight away I decided I really wanted to see them firsthand and take some photos of my own.

I am hoping that I will definitely get to do this later this year as we are making a return trip to The Cairngorms with mum and dad and I am aiming for a stop off on the way.

17 - Lose weight, go down four dress sizes!

Early in 2016 Martin and I dipped our toes into the world of Slimming and had a go at trying to lose some weight. Neither of us are very good at following diets, we just love food and have no will power when it comes to making the right choices.

I knew I wanted to lose weight but I wasn't sure how committed I was so, although I had this as a goal for me, I didn't feel committed or confident enough to share it with the World.

Well, we got on fairly well changing our lifestyle to follow the Slimming World plan. We haven't been perfect and we have had peaks and troughs, but at the time of writing I have managed to lose just over a stone (it was a stone and a half before Christmas). Most of it seems to have gone from the bottom half of me and I am buying trousers three sizes smaller. I wish I could say the same for the top of me.

I am hoping that this year we can manage to stick with this lifestyle change and see more progress all round. Now I've shared it with the World I am hoping it will spur me on to be able to report positively next year.

18 - Become an auntie again

Now this was a goal that was completely out of my hands, so I didn't feel it appropriate to share it. However, one of the biggest highlights ever of 2016 was the arrival of Bobby James, my gorgeous new nephew, who I absolutely love to bits.

I am looking forward to sharing lots of love, cuddles and adventures with him as he grows up, but for now, he is just soooooooooo adorable and gives me lots of excuses for making new and different bits and pieces.

19 - Holiday in The New Forest
This was another place that Martin and I both had wanted to visit for a long time. We had struggled finding a cottage that we liked in the right spot and were beginning to think it was a place that we would never get to.

Well, back in September 2016 we managed to find somewhere that we liked the look off and headed off down to Hampshire for a two week holiday.
So, not only can with tick a New Forest holiday off the list of 50 things, but we have also now holidayed in another British National Park, so we are moving that one in the right direction too.

20 - Go up Snowdon on the railway

This is something I've always wanted to do for as long as I can remember. We nearly managed it when we holidayed in Snowdonia a few years ago, but the weather was poor and I really want to be able to see a view when I get to the top.
We have a long weekend planned for later in the year, staying in Betws-y-Coed, so I am hoping that this will be another one that we can give a big tick to for 2017.

If I want to get all 50 of my goals done before I hit 60, I do need to get a shift on so hopefully I will be able to tick these off and a few more for 2017. I will keep you posted 😊😊😊
