I can’t quite believe it’s March already and will very soon be a full year before we hit our first lockdown ... who would have imagined the year we’ve had, though it does seem now that we really can see a tiny chunk of light at the end of the tunnel π€π€π€
A new month and it’s time for the next of Kate’s weekly photo scavenger hunt challenges for March over on I live, I love, I craft, I am me.
This week we can choose from either ‘signs of spring’ or ‘signs of autumn’.
Having had our first proper venture out into the garden last week I decided I would definitely opt for spring ... as I am beginning to get the sense now that it is most definitely in the air.
Whilst we have been treated to this beautiful and unexpected clump of crocuses ...
... one of the first signs of spring for us is what happens in our tiniest strip of garden border, amongst the concrete, out front.
We currently have snowdrops, tiny yellow daffs and the brightest splashes of colour from a variety of different coloured primulas ...
It's definitely time to get the jetwash out for one of the first gardening jobs of the year ... but I leave that one to Matin π

Mini daffs are lovely. CNx
ReplyDeleteIn love them too ... so vibrant and seem to get more every year π
DeleteDo you remember how last March when we heard about a 'lockdown' - a new term to us all - for up to six weeks, we were horrified!!! Now it is a part of life!. Anyway Spring is on its way as your beautiful flower pictures show.
ReplyDeleteDoesn’t it seem like a lifetime ago ... such a strange year ... lots of ups and downs but hopefully things will look a bit more normal soon π
DeleteLots of lovely colour in your garden. Very pretty indeed. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you ... up until now it is always hard to imagine it ever looking nice again as it is so dull and ‘brown’ over winter but it always starts to come back about now and by May it will look like a garden again π
DeleteLovely photos. It's always a joy to find a flower surprise when one ventures out into the garden. I did a small session getting rid of weeds and can see I need to get out there as there are plenty more weeds!
ReplyDeletePlenty of weeding and digging over needed here too ... I think we have at least now got rid of all the autumn leaves ... one of our least favourite jobs π
DeleteOh just joyous 'springful' colour :D such positive and happy little flowers, thank you for sharing xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you Kate for continuing to host us ... yes, we are always ready for the lift of a burst of spring colour π
DeleteVery pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteI love all the flowers but the crocuses are my favourites, they are such a gorgeous colour :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been such a strange year, but it's wonderful to have time to appreciate the gardens or parks. The primula and mini daffs are lovely but my favourites are definitely the crocuses - I must plant more this year
ReplyDeleteGorgeous spring flowers
