For the first weekly photo scavenger hunt for July Astrid has chosen the word … ✨ sparkle ✨
The thing that came straight to mind was the way that the sea sparkles when you catch it just right. My only problem would be finding a photo.
Well I got lucky … I found this photo from the first day out of our long awaited holiday in September last year. We were in Budleigh Salterton for the first time ever and it was the most perfect of days …These photos were taken from our lunch spot on the wharf in Exmouth later in the week … we were so lucky with the weather …
It certainly seems a while since we've been by the sea ... it will be lovely to get back to it again, but sadly not for us until the end of September.
Well that’s me for this week … I’m off to see what sparkly treasures everyone else has found 😀

Give me sparkling water (river, sea or whatever) any day. I'm not one for diamonds or any other sparkling gem stones. My favourite is the first photo.
ReplyDeleteMe too … I love the sparkling of water with the sun on it … it just doesn’t always capture well in a photo. Budleigh Salterton was just lovely all round 😃
DeleteWe lived in Devon for quite a while, Slapton then Kingsbridge. Such a lovely part of Britain. You can't beat a sparkling water even though it is not always easy to capture in a picture. Lunch looks good, even the tinfoil is sparkling though the second picture is my favourite. The fishing boat going out for its evening catch says so much.
ReplyDeleteWe had a holiday in Salcombe a few years back and agree that is a beautiful part of the country… we loved it. I must admit with the impact of Covid it has been nice to get back to some simple picnic pleasures. I think the boat was actually a dredger … we spent quite a while watching it to and fro 😃
DeleteBeautiful sparkling waters, and not the drinking kind!
ReplyDeleteAt least you have something to look forward to in September. The same place or somewhere new?
We are to Pembrokeshire in September … can’t wait … I say that as I sit in another holiday cottage inThe Peak District, which is lovely … but the sea is just so different 😃
