Photo Scavenger Hunt :: June #1 ... Glass

Hi there everyone šŸ˜€

This week the theme for Astrid's photo scavenger hunt is ... glass.

After a short ponder I decided that I’d take a trip through the archives ... back to our visit to Kew in 2019 when we were lucky enough to be visiting at the time of Chihuly’s Reflection on Nature exhibition.

His sculptures were truly spectacular and we were blessed with a glorious summer day ... here are a few of my favourites ...

It really was amazing to see all of the sculptures blending in with the natural environment. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to visit an exhibition again, should we ever get the chance šŸ˜€

  1. Wow, they are all wonderful. I have selected the one that looks like an Alium flower head as my favourite. I'm so glad I was not responsible for transporting them!

    1. I think the big blue flowers are my favourite, though they were all stunning. I bet it was a bit of an epic operation to transport and install them all with no breakages šŸ˜‚

    1. They really were breathtaking Susan. I guess we just got lucky really as it felt like a bit of a once in a lifetime opportunity, we were also blessed with an absolutely glorious day, though it did make for a bit of a hot and sticky tube ride back ja to the city to catch our train home, take care x
